A recent event was the Friday Online Music Festival which was held at the Empire Theatre Church Hall on Saturday 27^th March 2010.  We found this was a great event to organize for the youth in our community to participate in.

The beneficiary chose to support is a fantastic local community group called  “The Base” who works with the youth in our community to overcome issues which affect their lives. Nat and Tiffany and the team at The Base will be working on the BBQ to keep bellies full all day at the Friday Online Music Fest.

We have had fantastic support from local businesses which have made this event possible. Leon, with the team at Qld Hot Property were the first to put their hands in their pocket to sponsor this event.  Luke Haase from “The Greenroom” has been so helpful; lending all his experience to make this event happen.

Luke has kindly donated his time and will do a live recording of the winning act which is a very generous offer.  Glen from Royce’s Music House put his hand up when asked to support this Festival by offer of the First Prize Voucher of $400, and he is also providing the backline for the event.  Isaac Moody, who organizes the fabulous “Easterfest” has donated a family pass to Easterfest as a prize in our multi-draw raffle.

We have to give a big thank you to Darryl Bates and the Toowoomba Regional Council for their support of this community event.  Darryl has given us fantastic support and encouragement to keep on track to hosting an event which will feature on the local music calendar for many years to come.
